Defence: Exceptional Hardship

Carl Millar was instructed by Mr S in relation to an exceptional hardship hearing.  Mr S appeared before Sheffield Magistrates Court whereby he faced a minimum period of disqualification of six months under the totting up provisions.

The exceptional hardship to the client would have been that his company would go into liquidation and this would have an impact upon his employees, his wife and his children.  We also advanced evidence that he would not be able to pay his mortgage and this argument was accepted by the Court.  Mr S was delighted with the outcome.
